Last week while reading the Chronicle I noticed The Devil Makes Three (DM3) would be playing on Thursday. I've been feeling a bit swamped lately with the job, as we have been cramming for a Sept. 1st deadline, so I decided to go to the show to clear my head. My friend Aaron introduced me to DM3 a couple of years ago after hearing them open for another band. I have listened to their music extensively ever since, but never had a chance to see them live.

The show was a blast to say the least. They played downstairs at Stubb's and the crowed was very responsive and lively. I would describe their music as a punk/bluegrass/rock mash-up, and most of their songs are about drinkin'. What's not to love there. After I showed up I ran into my friends Raina Rose, and the Moss twins, Pickles (of Green Mountain Grass) and Demo (of The Blue Hit), all of whom are touring musicians. The show certainly did it's job. I didn't think of work once, and had a really great time.

I had my small camera with me and took a quick video of part of the show. The quality is terrible I know, but I want to post it mainly to get a rise out of Aaron (who might I add, wasn't at the concert).
